[New] UK - Warwick Global Sustainable Development and Liberal Arts session
We would like to invite you to join us for a virtual taster session of our interdisciplinary courses, Global Sustainable Development and Liberal Arts.
These two subjects were not widely favoured by students but we have seen growth in interest in the past couple of years. More students are interested in social studies as they are taught with an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach where critical thinking and problem solving are put at the heart of learning. This approach exposes students to a broad range of knowledge and teaches them how to learn. Students will cross disciplinary boundaries and ask insightful, investigative questions. They will learn to draw on knowledge and expertise from different disciplines to make interventions in the problems that matter to them. It is designed to prepare our students for the realities of a rapidly changing social, economic and environmental global order.
Topic: Global Sustainable Development and Liberal Arts: Interdisciplinary approaches to real-world issues
Date: Wednesday 19 January 2021
Time: 17:00 - 18:00 Hong Kong Time
Registration and information link: Click here
Complex global challenges require holistic responses, and researchers applying interdisciplinary approaches are leading the way.
[New] UK - Premed Projects Medicine Experience for Students 14-18
Every Monday evening at 7.30pm GMT the Premed Projects Team has work experience sessions running online for students aged 14 - 18 who might be considering careers in healthcare. The sessions have proved to be very popular with over 300 students from joining in each week. The sessions are live at 7.30pm GMT but can also be rewatched at anytime that suits students best.
We take a different medical case each week and our doctors, with the help of the students attending, diagnose and treat the patient in the interactive 2 hour sessions. Students are able to obtain a certificate every month for their participation in the sessions too.
If you are interested in becoming doctors or any career in healthcare, we're offering you a 1 month free subscription - all they need to do is visit this link and use your school code: WEEKLY90 for their 1 month free membership for which they will also obtain their certificates to use in their university applications. The code will be valid until the 20th January 2022.
It's usually £39 per month and they are free to cancel before their renewal and just take part in the free month no problem should you wish.
