[New] HKUST Business YoungStars by HKUST Business School

HKUST Business YoungStars (BYS) is a program designed for highly motivated secondary 4 and 5 students (or equivalent) to explore and experience a full spectrum of business education and university life. BYS is a great platform for those who are interested to explore mroe about business study to get first-hand experience of what it is like to be an all-rounded business student at HKUST.

In the BYS program, students can enjoy a series of exciting learning and networking activities starting next January. Below are some program highlights:

[New] BASc(GHD) Interactive Webinar and Mock Lectures / School Talks

In this year, the HKU Info Day website (https://www.infoday.hku.hk/faculty-of-medicine) will serve as the main platform for dissemination of all consolidated information to prospective Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Global Health and Development [BASc(GHD)] students.


To complement the HKU online platform, we have also lined up a series of mock BASc(GHD) lectures / school talks at local schools, which cover materials taken from an introductory course we offer in Year 1 - Foundations in global health and development. These include an overview of current global health and development challenges, alongside with real-world examples to explain how these challenges could be potentially addressed.

[New] HKU Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies 2020 Admissions Requirements

Students who wish to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (BA(AS) at HKU are required to take part in an on-line Aptitude Exercise.


The Aptitude Exercise (AE) comprises creative problems that allow students to demonstrate their interest and capacity for architectural thinking, and also gives interested applicants the chance to get a “taste” of what studying architecture is like.


Please note that the Aptitude Exercise is scheduled from 13 to 16 December 2019 and it will only be held once for the applicants of the 2020 Admissions. For further details please visit their web-page:

Launch of Online “UG Admissions Information Hub”

HKBU Information Day will now be postponed to the spring semester of 2020 (tentatively in May 2020) with details to be confirmed at a later stage. [New] Norwich University of the Arts (NUA)

The NUA’s annual Beyond the Frame photography competition is now open to international students for the first time. Beyond the Frame is an opportunity for young photographers to showcase their talent and develop their craft, with the winner being awarded £1000 worth of Canon photography equipment. This year’s theme is “Through my Eyes”, and students can find more information at www.nuabeyondtheframe.com


Information Session of PolyU EIE Undergraduate Degree Programmes

The Department of Electronic and Information Engineering (EIE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is working at the forefront of electronics, information, and communication technologies.


PolyU is now accepting applications for the following undergraduate degree programmes from students with non-HKDSE results (IB, GCE A-Level/ International A-Level, or others) for the September 2020 entry:

- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronic and Information Engineering

(Programme Code: JS3703)

- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Internet and Multimedia Technologies

(Programme Code: JS3519)


To let you know more about their programmes, especially on how their programmes prepare you to embark on a career in the engineering and the information and communication technologies (ICT) profession, they have arranged an information session which will be held in November 2019.

Study UK: Study and Career Options in Life and Health Science
