What's on in Hong Kong...

[New] HKUST: Live Chat session for students

HKUST has arranged an online live chat session this Saturday 28 March 2pm - 2.30pm, hosted by their student ambassadors. The University hopes such interactive Q&A session would allow you to ask any questions, be it about study, HKUST, preparation for university application or just to relax by chatting with you about U-life.

[New] HKUST: Learn from the Pioneers of Online Courses

Would you like to have a taste of university courses at HKUST? Join the online courses from their world-renowned HKUST professors!


As the first university in Hong Kong to make online learning available to secondary students and the first in Asia to bring higher education courses online, HKUST is a pioneer with forward-looking vision. Currently HKUST is offering 50+ online courses on platforms including Coursera and Edx!


HKUST has selected eight courses covering areas of science, engineering, business and management, as well as humanities and social science for you.

HKU&U Website

The University has been issuing offers and some of you might have already received them. To help students with offers better picture their journey at HKU, they have recently launched the HKU&U website with consolidated information for you. The HKU&U website contains information on: offer acceptance, accommodation, visa application, scholarships, upcoming events, FAQs and more!


The University also have exclusive online sessions on their Events & Happenings page, where you could register for the upcoming sharing sessions and view the playbacks of previous ones.


HKU Cloud-based Learning

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has launched a series of Online Support Initiatives to encourage secondary school students to continue learning at home to enhance their knowledge.


The initiatives include an online course platform "HKU Cloud-based Learning" (https://aal.hku.hk/admissions/local/hku-cloud-learning), giving secondary school students an opportunity to maximize their time for knowledge advancement especially during this no-schooling period. The online courses feature trending topics such as medicine, economics, IT and humanities, etc. in which most of them are self-paced video lectures. You are welcome to join these HKU Online courses for free. More online courses (e.g. livestream courses) will be available soon. Please stay tuned.

HKU - IB Top Scorers Exam Tips Sharing

In order to help IB students better prepare for the exams, three IB top scorers who are current students at HKU hosted a Facebook live session on March 4.


In the live session, the top scorers shared their preparation tips and test-taking strategies that contributed to their achievements in IB exams. They also answered questions from IB students locally and overseas. Those questions are subject specific such as how to effectively memorise Biology content and how to approach Business Paper 2 10 marker, which might also be useful for you.

What's on in other countries...

[New] World Class Study in London Virtual Event: Hong Kong & Macau 2020

Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the World Class Study in London group (King’s College London, Imperial and UCL) visit to Hong Kong and Macau in February 2020 was cancelled.


The group is now able to offer a World Class Study in London webinar to senior students. Representatives from Imperial College, King's College and UCL, three of the world's leading institutions will be presenting on the benefits of studying in London, student support, application advice, and what makes each of our institutions unique.


They will start at 6pm (local time) and following a 30-minute presentation, there will be the opportunity to ask both general and institution-specific questions in a designated chat room.

[New] Medical Doorway Webinar: Study Medicine at the University of Nicosia
