[New] Year 12 Parents - Wednesday next week

Join us via Zoom from 6-7 pm on Wednesday, September 8th for a Year 12 Parent Information Session. This will be an opportunity to hear about the Year 12 curriculum, the challenges and opportunities of Year 12, the Thrive Programme, an introduction to the Higher Education process and to learn more about how to support your child to achieve their full potential in Year 12.



[New] Year 13 Parents - Save the date

There will be a Zoom Parent Information Session for Year 13 Parents on Tuesday, September 28th 6-7 pm. The Zoom link will be shared closer to the time of the event. If there are particular topics you would like us to cover, please let us know by completing this Google Form.


[New] Webinars for ESF Students - Jacobs University, Germany

Jacobs University - an English-language research university in Germany will host a virtual session on Study and Career Opportunities in Germany in English.

Join the info-session to learn more about:

  • English-language Bachelor programs at German universities and how to find them

  • Admission Requirements and Evaluation at public and private institutions

  • Cost of study and living, scholarship and financial aid information

  • Career and residence perspectives in Germany during and after graduation

[New] British Council - Study UK University Online Roadshow, 13-17 September 2021

Take the opportunity to meet with representatives from 20 UK universities and find out more about higher education in the UK, including what "ticks the box" for various universities, subjects and courses, entrance requirements, career prospects and other questions about your future university studies. Year 13 students are strongly advised to attend this event, for the rest of students, you may register if you are interested.

Event details: Afternoon Session: University Introduction Session (Meet & Greet) Date: Tuesday 14 September 2021 Time: 15.30 – 16.45 HKT Come and meet 20 UK universities in a speed-dating style in 60 minutes, where representatives will be giving a brief introduction about themselves, scholarships, and their course offerings. After the introduction, you may either book a one-to-one meeting (by indicating in the registration form) or visit them during the evening session to get your questions answered. Evening Session: Study UK Webinar Series, 13 – 17 September Time: 18.30 – 20.30 HKT (every day) A series of live webinars covering useful information such as introduction to UK education system, application process (UCAS), personal statement writing, career support, and other subject specific topics will be organised throughout the roadshow week. Every night, there will be 4 different UK universities to talk about different topics jointly and provide admission advice. [New] UK UniFest Hong Kong - 13-17 September 2021

Speak to university representatives and academics from 24 UK universities across one week of webinars and interactive sessions. During this week students will have the opportunity to engage virtually with International Officers, academics and current UK university students to find out more about studying in the UK!

Note: This event is different from the British Council Study UK one.

Webinars, panels and live chats will include the following:

  • Advice on the UCAS application process

  • How to write a Personal Statement

  • How to choose a University

  • 14-16 years old? - How to choose the right electives

  • 1-to-1 appointments with university representatives

  • Live Q&A with students and alumni

We're running a brilliant university fair at the end of September. Throughout the fair, students will be able to chat to uni reps one-to-one via video, voice and live-chat, to get their questions answered, and experts from universities around the world will host 20 minute live sessions on topics like:

[New] For Year 13 Students - Prince Philip Scholarship tenable at Cambridge University - Information Seminar by The Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong Limited

Every year, through the Prince Philip Scholarship, The Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong support talented local young people to earn an undergraduate degree at one of the most renowned universities in the world - Cambridge University. The Scholarship covers up to the full cost of all fees, accommodation and living expenses for a full undergraduate programme at the University. Since its inauguration in 1982, the Scholarship has supported over 200 Hong Kong students. Students who are keen to challenge themselves are invited to join the 2022 Information Seminar.


The session will be hosting online from 5pm to 7pm on 2nd September 2021 (Thursday). Representatives from the Scholarship's Selection Committee will take participants through the application process and provide advice and information on admission to Cambridge. They will also take questions from participants.

[New] HKU - Information from the HKU Academy for the Talented

The Academy for the Talented is proudly presenting two new initiatives to you! Focusing on Space Technology and Legal education respectively, the initiatives comprise year-round workshops and professional mentorship that aim to let students have an authentic taste of university education and realize their full potential through knowledge transfer. 1) Business Economy for Space Technology (BEST) Programme

BEST is a STEM-based interdisciplinary immersive experience with a strong entrepreneurial edge. Students will unfold the unlimited boundaries of the NewSpace and explore how a CubeSat (a miniaturised satellite for space research) unravels solutions to global issues, understanding how new technology and data can generate a myriad of business opportunities.

LASC is a year-long programme on Copyright led by Ms Alice Lee, Associate Professor of Intellectual Property Law from the HKU Faculty of Law. Through LASC, not only will students be equipped with legal knowledge that helps them make informed decisions in everyday life, but they will also gain the exclusive opportunities to interact with HKU law students and legal experts like law firm partners, solicitors, barristers and judges.

[New] US - 46th Annual Boston University Trustee Scholarship Competition

For more than four decades, the Boston University Trustee Scholars Program has attracted students with outstanding academic ability from around the world. Trustee Scholars rank at the top of their classes and demonstrate exceptional leadership in their schools and communities. Scholarship recipients are selected by a faculty committee from a competitive pool of applicants after rigorous review. The Trustee Scholarship covers full undergraduate tuition plus orientation and mandatory undergraduate student fees for four years.
