The goal of the Hong Kong Student Film Festival is to provide a place for inspiration, learning, and connection through the art of filmmaking. If you are a Hong Kong student and you have films in any of the five following categories, consider submitting your film to the festival for a potential reward:

Short Films (500 HKD)

Medium Length Films (500 HKD)

Documentary Films (500 HKD)

Aesthetic Films (500 HKD)

Animated Films (500 HKD)

British Council - Study UK University Online Roadshow, 13-17 September 2021

Take the opportunity to meet with representatives from 20 UK universities and find out more about higher education in the UK, including what "ticks the box" for various universities, subjects and courses, entrance requirements, career prospects and other questions about your future university studies. Year 13 students are strongly advised to attend this event, for the rest of students, you may register if you are interested.

Event details: Afternoon Session: University Introduction Session (Meet & Greet) Date: Tuesday 14 September 2021 Time: 15.30 – 16.45 HKT Come and meet 20 UK universities in a speed-dating style in 60 minutes, where representatives will be giving a brief introduction about themselves, scholarships, and their course offerings. After the introduction, you may either book a one-to-one meeting (by indicating in the registration form) or visit them during the evening session to get your questions answered. Evening Session: Study UK Webinar Series, 13 – 17 September Time: 18.30 – 20.30 HKT (every day) A series of live webinars covering useful information such as introduction to UK education system, application process (UCAS), personal statement writing, career support, and other subject specific topics will be organised throughout the roadshow week. Every night, there will be 4 different UK universities to talk about different topics jointly and provide admission advice. UK UniFest Hong Kong - 13-17 September 2021

Speak to university representatives and academics from 24 UK universities across one week of webinars and interactive sessions. During this week students will have the opportunity to engage virtually with International Officers, academics and current UK university students to find out more about studying in the UK!

1) Business Economy for Space Technology (BEST) Programme

BEST is a STEM-based interdisciplinary immersive experience with a strong entrepreneurial edge. Students will unfold the unlimited boundaries of the NewSpace and explore how a CubeSat (a miniaturised satellite for space research) unravels solutions to global issues, understanding how new technology and data can generate a myriad of business opportunities.

LASC is a year-long programme on Copyright led by Ms Alice Lee, Associate Professor of Intellectual Property Law from the HKU Faculty of Law. [New] UK - Cambridge Virtual Open Days, 16-17 September 2021

Our next Cambridge Virtual Open Days will take place on 13-26 September 2021, with live events on 16-17 September. BOOKING NOW OPEN.


What to expect

Cambridge Virtual Open Days are aimed at prospective applicants from Year 12 and Year 13 (or equivalent) and mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with their parents or supporters. They take place over two weeks via the University’s Virtual Tour.

Throughout the Open Days, you'll be able to find out all about the University and Colleges by accessing pre-recorded presentations and videos about our courses, the Colleges and departments, University facilities, the application process, student life, and finance.

On 16 and 17 September, you'll have the opportunity to ask current students and staff questions during two days of live content, featuring the following distinct areas:


Thursday, 16 September - Applying to Cambridge

Our first live date will focus on studying at Cambridge, allowing you to explore our wide range of courses and to find out more about their admissions processes. Departments will be offering live Q&A webinars and live chats featuring their staff and current students. Live sessions about applying as a UK, mature or international student will also be taking place.


Friday, 17 September - Choosing a College

The second live day will cover the Cambridge Colleges and student life. Colleges will be offering live Q&A webinars and live chats throughout the day for you to learn more about life as a Cambridge student. We'll also be running a webinar dedicated to helping you choose a College.

[New] US - UCLA Fall Open House

UCLA’s annual Fall Open House will be virtual this year and will take place from Saturday, September 25 through Thursday, September 30. To best serve our prospective students and their families, we will offer programming on Saturday and in the evenings Monday through Thursday.
