[New] Year 13 Higher Education Workshop (US Focused)

On 4th September, Mr. Dakaj has arranged the third Higher Education Workshops for Year 13 students and parents. During the workshop, Mr Dakaj has talked about the importance of the US CommonApp essay, finding your "voice" and putting forth your best work for the college admissions essay and supplements. Relevant updates will also be provided in the context of the evolving nature of US university admissions.

The HE Team would like to invite Year 12 & 13 Parents to the ISPTA & HE Parents Coffee Morning. Details are as follow -

Year 13: Tuesday 15th September from 8.30am to 9.30am by Zoom

Year 12: Tuesday 29th September from 8.30am to 9.30am by Zoom


The Coffee Morning will focus on Higher Education issues. You will have the chance to talk to our HE Counsellors, ask questions about university choices, applications, etc. If you are interested to join, please sign up via the link on email invitation.

[New] UK - Study in Scotland talks & individual appointments

The University of St Andrews is running ‘Study in Scotland’ webinars on Tuesday 29 September at 4pm (both Hong Kong time). Schools and students can sign up to attend any of the webinars that best suit their schedules.


Following our initial talk, each university will be offering 1-to-1 bookable interview sessions for students and their families.  Students will have the chance to sign up for these 15-minute sessions to speak with individual universities in more detail.

Virtual admission information sessions are designed to help prospective students learn about academic opportunities, campus life, and the admission review process. The information session will be followed by general Q&A. We have created a College Planning Toolkit that prospective students and families—as well as our partners across the high school counseling community—can reference as they navigate the college admissions process in the upcoming year. With all that is new, we are also here for you! Our new essay prompt also provides a space for students to share more about their personal context, unique experiences, and perspectives.

11 September - Cialfo - Online University Fair

17 & 18 September - Cambridge - Virtual Open Days

  • From Monday 14 Septemberto Sunday 20 September, attendees will be able to access pre-recorded presentations about our courses, Colleges, the application process, and student life. These presentations are hosted on our brand new Virtual Tour platform.

  • On Thursday 17 and Friday 18 September, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in live Q&A sessions with current students and staff. This includes one regional Q&A session specifically for students from Asia and Australasia. 

  • International students in Year 10/Grade 9 (or equivalent) and above, plus their teachers or guidance counsellors, are very welcome to attend. To book a place, please click here.

US - Claremont McKenna College International Student Panels

Claremont McKenna College is now hosting current student panels for international prospective students! These panels are a great opportunity for your students to interact with our current international students and hear about their experiences at CMC. If you are specifically interested in CMC or just generally interested in liberal arts and sciences colleges, this is your time to learn more about the student experience at a top ten, residential liberal arts college.


Throughout the fall we are hosting regional sessions for China, India, Europe, Middle East & Africa, South East Asia, Latin America and more. Your students will have the opportunity to ask questions specific to their experiences, needs, and expectations for college. Students can register for our international current student panels here. US - Haverford College - Virtual Program

Haverford would like to share with you some information about their program - AOCC Program: Meet Our Black Squirrels on September 12 or October 3. The Athletes of Color Coalition (AOCC) is hosting this virtual program for high school students interested in playing a varsity sport in college. Participants will meet with coaches, hear from current student-athletes, and speak with alumni about diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Haverford athletics department and learn more about what it would be like to play for the Haverford Black Squirrels.
