What's on in Hong Kong...

[New] World Class Study in London events in Hong Kong & Macau

The World Class Study in London (WCSiL) Hong Kong group – Imperial, King’s and UCL – are collaborating once again on events for students in Hong Kong and Macau who are considering university study in the UK. As we are still unable to travel together as we usually would, we have put together some online events. These events are intended for students starting university in 2022 and beyond. Join our events with three of the world's top universities - Imperial College London, King's College London and UCL!

Schools Q&A

Event Format

The live event will be a Q&A with our International Office staff. We will also be joined by some of our current students, so you can ask them about their experience at our institutions and student life in London. Please do come prepared with your questions.

Upon registering, you will be able to view a pre-recorded presentation that we recommend you watch before the live event. The presentation will give you all of the practical info we think you will need - unique opportunities for students in London, career planning tips, an overview of our institutions and programmes, plus application advice.

Event Timings & Registration

These two events will be the same, so please only sign up for one of them.

Academic Q&A

Event Format

This is an opportunity to ask questions to our academic staff directly. The event has three sessions and each one will cover a popular subject area: Engineering, Law or Medicine.

Please only sign up for the session(s) you are interested in. Upon registering, you will be able to view a pre-recorded presentation that we recommend you watch before the live session(s). The presentation will give you all of the practical info that we think you will need about that subject area.

The live event will be a Q&A with an academic member of staff from each institution. For example, the first session will have an Engineering academic from Imperial, King's and UCL. They will each give a brief overview of Engineering at their institution and then it is over to you for your questions.

Event Timings & Registration

Saturday 20 March

Law: 17:15 – 18:15 (Hong Kong/Macau)

Medicine: 18:30 – 19:30 (Hong Kong/Macau)

[New] US - Boston University - Summer Journalism Academy

For those who are thinking about a career in communications or simply enjoy writing, we have just the thing: the Boston University Summer Journalism Academy. For the last 11 years, students are taught by award-winning journalists, such as Pulitzer Prize winner Lara Salahi and Sherrod Blakely, who will show them how to follow facts and get to the heart of stories affecting communities. From protests to town hall meetings to interviewing local and state politicians, our students are covering issues that matter in their communities.

Students also have the option of selecting a photojournalism track, taught by veteran photojournalist Stephen Haines. He worked as a staff photographer, assignment and photo editor for the Boston Globe. He will help students sharpen their camera skills to teach them the basics of visual storytelling.

No matter what session you select, they will learn practical skills that they can apply to any career. Two-week sessions begin on June 21, July 5, and July 19. Learn more by visiting our website, and to apply soon, as spots are limited. If students are accepted to the program and pay the registration fee by April 24, they will receive a special discount of $200 off the tuition using this discount code online: 21BUADMISSIONS
